Maritime Landcruiser Association

Updated May 17 2005

May 17 2005 - It's been a while since I last updated this site - seems that the msg board is picking up a little steam. Also, I have been seeing (and hearing of) more and more cruisers in the area. We really need to all got together and get a nice trail run going this Spring. I personally think that the Mersey Trails in Tantallon would be great. People not willing to scratch up their paint and bang around their truck in the mud and rocks would have the option to run on the logging roads only. Those that want to get a little more daring could take one of many trails off the main roads. It would be a great chance to meet one and other, perhaps find some spare parts, exchange stories and just have a good time meeting new folks. I propose a

Mersey Trail Meet & Greet on June 11th 2005 (Meet at Piercey's in Upper Tantallon).

Jan. 24th 2005 -Happy new year all. As expected, it is certainly a slow time of the year for the club. I have meet a few cruiser owners out in St. Margaret's Bay, hopefully I can lure them out to a meeting this spring ... or when/if it warms up. It has come to my attention that a dealer has imported some RHD Cruisers out of Japan (BJ74's, BJ71 and HJ61) - here is a link to their site www.uniqueautoimports.com. Here are a few pics:

Nov. 9th 2004 -Once again, a long time since the last update! 3 of us hit the Beaverbank/Renfrew trail in September and had a blast. See the pics section for updates. There seem to be more and more Cruisers popping up in Halifax, always nice to see.

August 26th 2004 - It's been a very long time since the last update. Summer has been a busy time for many of us - building decks, getting married etc. We are planning a run this fall for all of us. A nice easy run to get everyone back into the spirit. We often forget what our trucks were actually built for - 4Wheeling. We start putting money into them and lose sight of their capability off road. I assure you that they will not split in half or break (well ... maybe except for John's Big Red 60)! So let's start planning a good run for this fall.
